    The Skin Map- Book Review

It's not often you recieve a free book from one of your favorite authors...but last week I did!  Stephen R. Lawhead has produced some amazing books of the past 25 years, all of which I own and most of which I have read.  When the The Skin Map became available on Booksneeze.com, I immidiately took advantage...and i wasn't disappointed!

This book is different from Stephen R. Lawhead's recent books (which are more historical in nature), but hearkens back to his Empyrion series (which is more Science-fiction in nature).

The Skin Map is a fast-paced, high adventure and very gripping read.  So much so that I received this book the day before I went on vacation and I finished reading it in two days!

After reading only a couple of pages, you find yourself wrapped into a world that can change at blink of an eye.  You follow the main character: Kit Livingstone down a tumbling road of discovery all across the Omniverse which brings with the reader deeper and deeper into the discovery of ley lines which are powerful lines where two dimensions meet and which people can travel between these dimensions.

The danger comes because no one knows where or when these lines will lead a person to.  This of course all adds to the importance of the map, which is tattooed into a man's body.  The hunt is on to find the map, so their can be a deeper understanding of where these ley lines lead to.  The most important "train stop" is the "Well of Souls" which is the sole interest of the bad guys in the story.

I wish I could continue, but you have to read it for yourself and trust me, you won't be sorry you did.  Had I not received this book for free, I would've bought it anyways because I love Stephen R. Lawhead and his amazing gift of story telling.  You've got to check this book out.

The only thing that will drive you nuts is the ending...it tantalizes you into reading the next edition!

I received this book for free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as a part of their book review program. I was not required to write a positive review; my opinions, therefore, are completely unbiased.

This is an awesome book! Have you seen the treasure hunt being done for it? It is so cool!

A friend asked me to go pick up a clue for them. My whole family is into geocashing so I went. There was a code in it that I typed in at TheBrightEmpires.com. Now I can't stop watching the game.
